Broadening our Jewish identities

Greetings once again from Greene Family Camp. The week is rapidly drawing to a close, and in a short while, we will welcome the Sabbath bride into our midst.

Yesterday we celebrated “Yom Yisrael,” Israel Day, a series of programs and activities which strengthened the campers’ and staff members’ connection with Israel. Of note, there are many Israelis on the camp’s staff.

Greene Family Camp and our challenge

Greetings from Greene Family Camp! I have been here less than a day and have run into almost all of the campers and staff from Oklahoma City. Everyone is happy and enjoying the summer.

I find it hard to believe that this is my fourth visit to GFC. Each time, I have felt more and more acclimated and at home. Part of what makes coming here enjoyable is the fact that I get to meet other Jewish professionals from around the region and catch up with those I have known for years. Read the rest of this entry »
